Friday is the last day in the library/lab. We are back in the classroom Monday. All final papers are due Wednesday, 3/29/17: 3-5 pages printed with a Works Cited page and a turnitin.com submission.
Today:
1. You should have saved your outline on google-drive and should be ready to begin writing your paper!
2. Review the MLA Formatting sheet that I handed out or refer to the library page for the MLA formatting link and find the sample MLA paper.
Tomorrow: We will meet by the smart board and discuss how to print your Works Cited page and set up turnitin.com (Directions will be posted here!)
Steps for Turnitin.com (2017)

You
will be handing in a paper copy with a Works Cited page. No paper will be graded without a turnitin
submission. (If you are having any trouble with this, you need to come see me
or a librarian for help before the paper is due.)
(If you already have an account, just log
in!)
1. Go
to the HSE library website: hselibrary.com
and click on link for Turn-It-In in menu
bar.
2. On
turnitin.com, click Create your user
profile (If you have an account, skip this step and log in!)
3. Enter
in your e-mail address and password.
4. Click
Student and Login. (click enroll in class button).
5. Next,
a new page will appear. If you are first
enrolling, you might need to enter all of the information below. Enter the information needed.

6. Click
I Agree at bottom of page.
7. The
next page will have your class name and period. Click on class, and you will
see the Research Paper 10 assignment.
Guidelines
for Turnitin.com:
1. You
can submit your paper more than once, but there might be some wait time for
results.
2. Once
submitted, your paper will be compared for similarities with other papers with
a percentage. Your percentage must be less than 10% in the similarity
category.
3. If
you need to resubmit, please view your paper on turnitin.com to see the
comments made for similarities with other papers, and make corrections. (The
paper you hand in to me should have these corrections.)

When submitting your
paper,
you will be asked to upload it from google
docs or your computer. It does not
always upload from google drive, so you might have to save it to your computer
first.
OR when you go to upload, you
will see on top: Submit Paper. Click this and
it will say Cut and Paste. You can then cut and paste from google
drive. You will probably have to fix
some of the formatting.
